UNIVERSITY OF OTAGO - FUTURE STUDENTS
The Future Students page is set up for students who are considering an application to the University of Otago, The content is heavily catered towards life at Otago, the application process, and all the benefits of studying at the University. All content is created using the Adobe suite.
MEET THE TEAM
Purpose: To introduce the Schools' Liaison Team to future students at Otago.
Description: The video introduced each team member as they strut down the stairs of the Clocktower and hit a pose. The final product was edited like the Brooklyn Nine-Nine intro.
My Role: Edited the video and designed the thumbnail.

HANDS ON AT OTAGO
Purpose: To recap a one-week programme where high school students visited the University of Otago to try different subjects.
Description: Filmed across campus and on a boat, the reel captured the energy of the programme. Scrapbook-style text at the beginning and a trending sound gave the video a fresh, engaging feel.
My Role: Filmed and edited the reel.

OTAGO OPEN DAYS
Purpose: To highlight the tote bags given away on Open Day, which became a popular feature of the event.
Description: The reel used a trendy digital camera frame look, giving it a casual, playful vibe suited to social media.
My Role: Took pictures and edited the reel.

CAPPING SHOW
Purpose: To show students different things to get involved in at Otago and enhance the student experience
Description: The video featured an alumnus from Otago discussing her experiences with the capping show and why she enjoyed it.
My Role: Filmed and edited the video.










REEL COVERS
These covers created a consistent visual identity for a series of videos about residential colleges. Each cover featured imagery from its college, paired with bold titles and graphic elements like arrows, tying the series together while showing each college’s uniqueness.

The following posts were created to inform students of scholarship applications and what they need to get started. I created these posts as a continuous carousel and used colours to differentiate headings.

UNIVERSITY OF OTAGO - PAID CAMPAIGNS






REASSURANCE
The Reassurance campaign launches every year in September. The campaign aims to reassure students in their choice at Otago, so the messaging relies on the student experience and student support services. In 2024, the campaign imagery was portrayed on a pinboard. The placement of these assets was across social media and OOH.
My role in this campaign was to gather trinkets and imagery for the board and animate the asset from a Photoshop file provided by the designer. Animation was done on After Effects.
MUSLIM UNITED VOICE
MUV is an organisation aimed to unite, educate and inspire meaningful change in Aotearoa New Zealand through storytelling, civic education, and grassroots initiatives that foster representation, leadership, and community development. My roles in MUV include being the Social Media Lead for the main brand and an Editor for Minara Media (one of the subbrands).

NATIONAL ISLAMIC YOUTH ASSOCIATION (NIYA)
NIYA is an association run by Muslim rangatahi for Muslim rangatahi. We aim to provide a platform for youth to grow through events, initiatives and resources. My role in NIYA since June 2025 has been the Digital Media Officer so I create social media assets for the organisation. Content is made with Canva and the Adobe suite.




















DEEP MUSLIM CONVERSATIONS
In 2023, I worked with NIYA on the launch of Deep Muslim Conversations (DMC), a podcast created to give Muslim youth in New Zealand a platform to share their voices and experiences. This project combines long-form conversations with short-form clips for social media. For this project, I edited the podcast episodes, developed the branding, and produced engaging clips to promote the series online.
